Description

The Racing Street (RS) is the flagship tire of BATTLAX street application line up, designed for use on public roads. The RS12 is the successor to the RS11, which was standard equipment on numerous flagship motorcycles.

The RS12 Incorporates racing tyre compound technology. So you can rest assured you are getting the top tyre for your motorcycle needs.

Bridgestones RACING STREET RS12 delivers a higher level ride, grip, dry performance, and enjoyment on the street or on the racetrack.

Features

  • RC Polymer technology optimises the distribution of silica in the rubber compound and improves tread flexibility, allowing greater contact with the road surface in both hot and cold conditions. The reduction in molecular friction also improves rolling resistance, therefore increasing fuel economy.
  • Advanced Bridgestone 3-layer compound technology for your front tyre. The dual compound is hard in the tread centre to give you heavy-braking stability, linear handling and high mileage. On the shoulders the compound is soft and sticky for maximum cornering grip.
  • Bridgestone NanoPro-Tech technology optimises tyre performance on a molecular level. This helps reduce friction, heat and tread deformation during tyre rotation, resulting in better tread grip and longer wear life.
  • Steel cord material is made of individually rubber insulated inner filaments with high thermal conductivity this to enhance heat transfer and reduce the risk of blowout. The features promote high speed stability, grip, absorption and durability.
  • High Elongation Mono spiral belt implements a new steel technology with improved elasticity. By shortening the twist pitch, it results in a more equalised contact patch pressure and improved grip.

About Bridgestone

Manufacturing across 24 different countries, Bridgestone is one of the worlds most popular tyre makers, and years of experience tell us that a Bridgestone tyre will not let you down. Founded in 1931 in Fukuoka Japan, Bridgestone was named after their founder Ishibashi as ishi means "stone" and bashi "bridge" in Japanese. Bridgestone set about using Japanese technology expertise to create the highest quality tyres. In 1949 Bridgestone started manufacturing bicycle tyres and by 1958 these had become motorised and the 50cc Bridgestone motorcycle was born. As time went on, Bridgestone realised that their expertise was primarily in tyre making as most of their Bridgestone motorcycle tyres were being sold to their Japanese rivals Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha. By 1953, Bridgestone were the largest tyre manufacturer in Japan. Bridgestone were first floated on the stock market in 1961 and they opened their first plant abroad in 1965 in Singapore. Bridgestone America was set up in 1967 and Bridgestone were rapidly becoming a popular brand worldwide by the seventies.
