Finding Audi servicing

German manufacturers such as Audi have a reputation for reliability that has been earned over decades of use on UK roads. However, even the best-built and most reliable cars must be regularly serviced to keep them in optimal, safe condition.

Audi recommends that their vehicles are serviced annually or every 9,300 miles, based on vehicle type, age, mileage and usage. The frequency with which you should have your Audi serviced will ultimately depend on factors including whether you drive mainly in cities or on long motorway journeys, as the former will put wear on vehicle components such as steering and brakes more rapidly than the latter.

Whether your Audi runs on petrol, diesel or electricity, it is essential that you follow the recommended servicing intervals laid out in your owner's handbook in order to keep it running smoothly, safely and efficiently

What is involved in an Audi service

Like all cars, Audis need their fluids and filters changed at regular intervals to keep their engine lubricated and drawing sufficient air. They also need their brakes, suspension, steering, lights, tyres and battery inspected regularly to make sure they are all in good condition as these elements are vital to the vehicle's roadworthiness.

At your local Protyre garage, you can opt for Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum servicing, based on your budget, individual preferences and the recommended maintenance regime for your car. During a Bronze service, 27 checks are carried out, while for a Platinum service, this increases to 65 checks. A Bronze service is therefore only recommended for customers seeking reassurance between annual services or for drivers who cover a high mileage every month and require interim maintenance between major services to keep their vehicle running smoothly.

If you are in any doubt as to which service level to choose, please speak to our team today, who will be happy to guide you to the most appropriate service.

Cost of Audi servicing

Although Audi is considered to be a premium car brand, you will be pleased to know that servicing your Audi at your local Protyre garage does not attract a premium price tag. Indeed, the Audi service price is exactly the same as it would be for any other car that is brought to us for servicing. You will also be reassured to know that we use only OEM replacement components in all of our services, all of which are warrantied against defects and faults for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes sooner.

The only exception to the OEM rule is tyres , as there is no need to replace your tyres with the same model or brand tyres that are fitted when new if you do not want to. Providing that the tyre you choose is of an equivalent size and load bearing as that fitted to the opposite axle, you can opt for a different make, including Pirelli or Bridgestone, to better suit your individual preferences. We do not recommend mixing summer and winter tyres, however, as this can affect your vehicle's handling.

We offer a comprehensive selection of tyres from major brands to budget options, such as Sumitomo and Falken. Speak to our tyre experts today to find out more or book a free tyre check to make sure your tyres are roadwort
